About Anime Express:
Anime Express is a new Melbourne, Australia
based online Anime Store and Community, that strives to provide anime
fans with top quality, inexpensive anime merchandise, and reliable service.
As a anime distributor we are determined to give customers a wide range
of anime products, such as DVDs, Manga Novels, and wallscrolls. Anime
Express acquires its stock from 3 of the leading distributors: The AV
Channel (Australia), ADV Films (America) and CD Japan (Japan), giving
fans access to a large variety of anime products.
Anime Express has been up and running
since December 2004. On the 1st of May 2005, we decide to include more
resources on Anime, seperating the store and creating an Anime Community
giving users a one-stop shop for finding information about Anime. In addition
to this a new slogan was created "Anime Express - Your Home of Animation".
Our newest features include forums, galleries, lyrics, synopsis and more,
with a whole lot more still to come.
With the new opening, the Graphics
Team decided to create a unique Anime Character that would be recognised
as Anime Express. Several days before the
official opening, Hitomi Kaido was born as Anime Express' mascot.
About The People:
All of us at
Anime Express are fans of anime, making Anime Express run by fans, for
fans. Although most of us are studying at school and/or working part-time
jobs. (or living there life away infront of a computer screen) We aim
to give the highest quality in all of Anime Express' goals.
LAZ :
The one, the only, the main man, the guy, the
Laz. The creator of Anime Express. Without his presence, Anime Express
would probably not have been possible, and without him some of us wouldn't
have anything to do.
SECOND
IN CHARGE:
Juan
(a.k.a kadaj) is our Second in Charge, or SIC as we like to call him.
He's the guy that takes care of all the products in our store. Uploading
hundreds of products a month to keep our store fresh with new products.
He is also our designated driver for all our outtings... usually.
THE BUSINESS GUY:
He's the guy that gives us direction and hope.
Investing in us to and making the chance happen. He is Francis (a.k.a
Francis). Althought he hardly turns up to the meetings, he always has
our back. Not to mention he's a really funny funny guy.
THE GRAPHICS TEAM:
I don't see how one person can be considered as
a team, but yeah... Alex (a.k.a Arcane) is head of the Graphics Team,
creating all elements of drawing and design that Anime Express displays.
Although some of which he's not happy about he still continues creating
all these elements. Joining Anime Express with little experience in drawing
Anime, he sharpened his skills and continues to improve with every creation.
WEBSITE GURU:
Although most of us have only seen his face once,
David (a.k.a Hughie, a.k.a David Not Fagan) is our website guru. He's
the guy that looks after our webpages, making sure everything is up and
running without problems, and fixing things that everyone else screws
up. If it wasn't for this guy, the site would probably look... like...
not much.
THAT
GUY:
That guy is the guy that is always at our meetings.
Who do I mean, I mean Brendan (a.k.a Rukano) We aren't to sure of what
his purpose is for being there but having him there makes Anime Express
have more then just 5 people, by making it 6 <_<. But besides felling
in space, his blunt honesty about things helps in the decision making
process which makes him a valuable assest to Anime Express. |
